Vintage Hair For Men : Elvis Pomp

Hello There Vintage Lovers!
Today I will show all those retro guys how to do a pomp!
Here is what you need:
Styling comb, pomade (grease)

Before Picture ( This is my Uncle Willy, he does not have the pomp hair cut which is longer on top and shorter every where else)

Work in the pomade in to the hair ( Excuse my very unvintage short nails.. they are messed up) :)

Brush front hair forward and up, this will give height to the front of the hair.

After you brush the front of the hair upward. Carefully brush the tail end of the front downward , to blend in with the back of the hair. Then push your pomp forward to get a nice rounded bump.

Now brush down the sides of you hair . ( John Travolta style)

Finished Result! (although the front of his hair isnt as long as it should be , it could be a style that could transtion to a full pomp when grown out. )

Here Is some other pictures of men with pomp hair!

I hope you enjoy one of my Vintage mens Hair How To!
Have a Very Vintage Day!

  2. Thank you! I used Loreil, and I also use Rockaholic Texturizing pomade spray ( which smells awesome!!)

  3. I find your choice of pictures today quiet coincidental. I have a copy of that coca cola ad on my mantel piece and my husbands name happens to be Ricky Nelson!

  4. The good news is most mens hairstyles can be coiffed with just a product, or a blow dryer and a product.
