Vintage Make Up HowTo

Hello Vintage Lovers!
Today I will show you the basics of achieving old Hollywood makeup look from the 40's and 50's.
Here is a guide of makeup colors they use back then
Eyeshadow: White, Beige, Lavender, Pink Ivory, Brown, Grey, Black, Sage Green, Mint Green, Navy Blue, Powder Blue
Blushes: Pink, Burgundy
Lipstick: Dark Pink, Red, Orange Red, Burgundy, Apricot,Pinch of Pink
Eye Liners: Black, Dark Brown, Medium Brown

Here Is my how to for a baa sic 40's /50's look:
Clean Face!!! (Eck)

Apply Foundation on your eyelids

Apply Beige Eyeshadow on your whole in tire lips. Next apply a darker eyeshadow on your crease (i choose a lavender) When applying your crease shadow look at your mirror when tracing your shadow then close your eyes and blend into the crease bone.

Blend both eye shadows with your blending brush. Think soft , not harsh.

Apply your liner. I like to use a dark brown liquid liner for the day, It works just as good as black liner but its more of a day time look. Then apply fondation to rest of face.

Once applied mascara, brush your eyebrows and fill them in if needed.

Next apply blush (i like Hard Candy's :Living Doll) blush. Its the perfect pink

Blend Blush on your apples by smiling.

(*For Special Occasions*) Apply face and body white powder on your face (little goes a long way) This creates a techni-color Hollywood glow)

(Blend with blending brush) Blend really good!!!
Next apply your Lip Liner and Lipstick. (I have on Fire &Ice Revlon)

Next Apply Your highlighter apply (cupid bows"lips", on brow bone)

Finish Look!!

I hope you like my Make Up How To!!
Next will be the Finger Waves!!!

Hello Vintage Lovers!!
Today I will give you step by step instructions on a very vintage facial!
What you will need :
Hair Turban (a hair towel wrap), a pail of steaming hot water, 5 towels, apricot scrub, cold cream ( makeup remover), facial lotion, witch hazel, cotton balls, facial moisturiser, (optional soft 40's instrumental back round music)

1) Wrap your hair up like so.

2)Apply cold cream to your face (be generous)

3) Remove Cold Cream with cotton balls, then swipe face with Witch Hazel, (apply on cotton balls)

4) Take one for the 5 towels and drench it in the Hot water. Apply on face for at least a minute

5) Apply witch hazel again.

6) Take your facial lotion, and apply generously, ( Now its time for your face massage)
*Don't be afraid to massage your face
( massage under your eyes, around your lips, cheeks, and jaw.For about 10 minutes)
*This plumps up your vessels in your face

7) Take another towel and drench it in the hot water, apply on face and leave on for 1 minute.

8) Apply Mask ( turn on your 40's soft music. relax for 10- 15 minutes)

9) Take your hot water pale and put it out in the sink and pour in fresh hot water.

10) take a towel and drench it in hot water and remove mask.

A Snow White & Elizabeth Taylor Hair How To

Hi Vintage Lovers!!
Today , I thought I should do something different with my hair. I usually part my hair on the side! But this time i wanted to experiment with a middle part. I usually am scared of center parts because I think of the 70's.
But I got inspired by two of my most favorite gals!!!
Elizabeth Taylor and Snow White

What you need :
Pin curl clips, gel, spray bottle, a lace hair ribbon, rat tail comb

My hair set is basically . 1) parted in the middle , 2) all the pin curls are going towards my face

How it looks after I take off my pin curl clips

Since I don't want alot of structure, all I'm doing is brushing it with my hands. Make sure put a little bit of shine gloss on your hair. It should fall nicely.

Take your lace ribbon, or any sort of ribbon. And tie a bow

Finished result!!!

I actually really like the middle part hair style look. It came out good. I just might sport this look more often!!! Plus its really simple!!!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!!

Art Exhibit At A Mansion (outfit)

Good Evening Vintage Lovers,
Today I went to a mansion that was built in the early 1890's, to see my friend Marisa's Art gallery show. It was SO much fun!! She looked SO pretty with her black and white vintage cocktail dress! Her art work was really creative!!!! Truly one of a kind!
After that my family and I went out to eat dinner, and had a stroll downtown!
Here's some pictures that we took!!

Today, I took a picture of what I had this morning, I got a new vintage hair clip, from 1949. Its SO cute, Also I got a new vintage hair hat pin (but i thought it would be cool to use it also as a cardie broach.
I look a bit sleepy, from yesterday. (Also please excuse camera , i need to replace it)

Tonight, Me and my family are having guest over, So I will wear instead of a purple cardie, I will wear a black bedazzled vintage 50's cardie, With a black patten belt, red lips, topped of with Jane Powell hair style!
Looking forward to it!!
