1940's Faux Victory Rolls 'How To'

Hello Vintage Lovers!!

I created this hair how to for the girl who just loves victory rolls but has a little struggle creating them...or if you are a 'girl on the girl ' this hair style is perfect for you!!!
Perfect Fast 1940's Pinup Look!!!

What you need:
Rat tail Comb
Hair Spray
Curling iron / if you already set your hair
Bobby pins
Flower
Duck bill clip

Lets Get Started!!!

*** If you don't have bangs Skip This section!!!***
If you do have bangs curl them up like so!

Part your hair on the side. Take a medium to small section right behind your ear. Smooth it with your rat tail comb. Hair spray to keep all the fly aways down.

Twist the section towards the part and pin it. Make sure its nice and secure like so.

***Now on the other side of the part leave a little triangle square piece out of the way. ***

While keeping the small section out of the way. Take out a medium to small section right behind the ear. Smooth it out with comb . Hair spray the fly ways. Twist and pin.

Twist and pin like so. ( Don't worry ifs not to perfect on this side that's where the flower is going to be at)

*** Skip Section if you don't have bangs***
If you do brush them back and clip it with a duck bill clip

Take the remaining bang hair and brush them to the side . then Hair spray .

The small section that we left out will be for pin curling.  Create 3 small pincurls in a upside down triangle.

Pin them that way you don't see the bobby pins.

Hair spray your pin curls

Remove Duck Bill Clip.

If you hadn't already so had a set , curl the ends of your hair under with the curling iron.

Back comb just a bit and smooth it,  that way it will be nice and full.
Then add a Flower or any cute little clip. Then a extra dose of hairspray!!!
Then Finish!!!!

Doesn't she look lovely in my powder room??!!!!

If you have any questions!
Please ask!!
How you enjoyed my hair how to!!

7)Clip your hair like so.

8) The for the rest of the hair brush your hair back again. Clip it in the middle of the ear or just below it.

Vintage Beach Outfit Post: Day 1 & 2 Summer Dreams

Hello My Lovely Vintage Lovers!

I'm sorry for the lack of blogging, I was on vaca.... Virginia Beach!
I got some neat pictures to share!
The first two days me and my family went on the beach! The first day was really cloudy and the water was cold and it was raining on and off! Bummer...
But the second day was really pretty it was sunny and warm! ...No rain! ha ha!!
The first day I worn this cute vintage inspired bathing suit and I put my hair up in a turban!
( I will be doing this 'hair how to' on my 5 minute Beach Do!)

I was sorta worried that since my hair was shorter it will be harder to put it up,  but it was fine & easy!!!!!!

The second day out on the beach, I worn a Vintage 1950's Swimsuit!
All I have To Say Was...
Comfortable Comfortable Comfortable!!
This is my new vintage bathing suit and its my fave!! I hate how modern bathing suits have like this Lycra stretchy material and it gets you really hot... This is made out of silky cotton and its so breathable!! I just love it!!!
I had a cute little pink vintage scarf and I put a vintage beach hat on! With aqua blue cat eye glasses to match!!!

I also had Makeup that was water proof so when I went swimming it still was on!

I was def ready for the beach!!!
Although.. no tan ha ha!!! I was still ready!.. Good thing I didn't burn!

I hope your having a fab summer!!

5 Minute Beach Pinup Hair : Floral/ Reverse Victory Roll /Side Updo

Hello There Vintage Lovers!!

Today we will be doing a Beach 5 minute do. ( Side Bun with a Reverse Victory Roll)

Inspired by this photo!!
You can eighter put a scarf or a Hawaiian hair clip!!!!

Today we are talking easy so this can either be done with no hair set... a day after you had  your hair set... it doesn't matter.

Its all about pining and rolling !
I really like this hair do specially if you don't want you hair to get wet...or if you have long hair and it just gets you hot under the sun... its really great do' plus it has this pinup look to it!!!

What you need:
2 elastic pony tail holders
Lots of bobby pins
Head scarf/ or Hawaiian hair clip!
( I'm using a flower hair clip to add a little more oomph to the beach look)

The Tools you need

Before

Take a sqaure section were your part is ( this is were the victory roll is going to be at) put it a side. the first pony tail goes behind your ear the second pony tail goes behind the first.

Roll the first pony tail into a standing up pin curl.

Pin it with a bobby pin, and fan the edges to make it bigger.

Do the same to the second pony tail. The space in between my finger will be filled with the hair that is pushed aside.

Let the section for your victory roll down.

Split that section into a medium small size triangle. and also push that aside.

The pieces that are left use them to fill in the gap between the two bun rolls.

Take the section for your reverse victory roll and roll it up!!!

Next add your flower !!!

Back view

Front View!!!

This is SO easy!! Perfect for the beach!! All it takes is 5 minutes!! If you mater pin curling and victory rolls ( reverse victory rolls are easier you can actually do this less than 5 minutes!!!)

Hope I explained it well, if you have any questions please just ask!!
Hope you guys love the hair do!!
