How To Cut Betty Bangs!!

Hello Vintage Lovers!!!
Today I will be showing you how to cut your own Betty Bangs... or if you have a friend you can use this go to at home guide to cut the "Perfect" Betty Bangs!!

Tools you need:
* Styling comb
*Duckbill clips / or Butterfly clips
* Good Shears
*Water Bottle

****************************************
Lets get started!!

1) So first wet your hair in the front.

2) Determine how thick you want your bangs.( Betty Bangs are fairly thick) Section your "bang hair' in a triangle.
3) Clip The rest of your hair back

4)  Now take your triangle section and split it in half.

Just realised I cant really show you while I'm actually cutting it @ the same time take a picture of it!!
5) Cut your bangs starting in the middle . Don't cut to short leave *extra length ... it will shrink when it drys.
6) Now take a little bit of the section you cut and use that as your guide for the sides. Cut the temples a little shorter than the middle of the bang. To have the U effect

7) Sides already cut.

 8) Now take the hair that you split in half down.

10) Now match it up with the hair that has already been cut in the bottom.

11) Finished Cut Bangs. A Perfect U shape!

**Now for the finishing touches!! Blow dry your bangs and flat iron it!!***
Lovely your perfect Pinup Betty Bangs!!!

Hope you enjoyed my how to!

A Interveiw With Dita Von Teese

A Email Interview With The Glamorous
 Dita Von Teese

What are your Go-to hair products?
I can't live without my hot rollers and my Mason Pearson boar-bristle brush.
What's your favorite foundation (makeup brand)?
I love L'Oreal True Match N1 and Dior Capture Totale foundation.
What's your favorite beauty ritual?
I love the process of getting myself ready backstage before a show. I always do it myself, I love the process, the transformation, and having that time alone to think through my show.

What sort of advise would you tell someone if they first started dressing vintage , and they might be a little hesitant?

Dressing vintage is a great way to look chic on a budget. It's the reason I started dressing vintage...I couldn't afford designer clothes. Looking at magazines can be a great way to see what kinds of references are taken from vintage. Many of the world's  best designers visit the same vintage shops I go to and they get inspiration from what they see, and even bring cameras and sketch books to take notes.

Who was your biggest style star from the 40's and 50's?

I always liked 1940s era technicolor musicals. Any film with Betty Grable and/or Carmen Miranda is full of sumptuous, glorious beauty, clothes and pure glamour! I would certainly count Betty Grable at the top of my list for beauty icons!

Thanks soo much answering my questions!!

I Love My Job!!!

Recently my little town had a fashion week. One of the looks was the 1950's ( I was soo excited that they choose that for one of the looks..soo of course mio' had the 1950's look!!) ! My work ended up in the newspaper!!! Which i have to get a picture of it to post it very soon!!

My town also celebrated a local fashion designer from the 50's Clarie McCardell , it was fabulous to look at her designs and ads!! No to mention her fab clothes!!!!

I wanted to show you a one of my "Masterpieces" in hair! This lovely lady wanted a 1950's look with a rockabilly twist!! So I did long layers and a cute 50's fringe. Then for color , I did 2 foils of lightener for a blonde piece in her fringe. Then I colored her hair in a rich Natural Red. This is how it looks!!
I was very pleased with the color and cut!!!

Doesn't she look absolutely Fab!!!

What was your favorite cut and color someone did on you??!

Please share!!
