Funny Girl Series : Jane Russell

Hello My Vintage Lovers!!
Sorry For the delay for my vintage hair series! I have been a busy bee and a sleeping bee. :). I'm still trying to adjust to my new schedule. This is a Jane Russell how to hair!! It came out slightly well, but I'm disappointed that the hair was still slightly damp. So the curls didn't go as well as i would like them to go. But the hair set is really nice .( The technique's for the pin curls was from my teachers old 1940's Milady cosmetology school book) Before the how to here's some pics of Jane. Enjoy!

The How To:
This time I'm using one of my mannequins! Her Name is Sam II . But I decided to change her name to : Miss Peggy Sue :)

1) Comb. Pin Curl clips. Gel

2) Top section 3-4 standing up pin curls each side.

Pin curls going mainly one direction . But one row going another direction for some wave.

One direction . Notice from Big to small. To add volume UP

Take out pin curls. Finger brush them .Then comb them out with comb.

Since Miss Peggy Sue has no bangs and no layers I had to create too big pin curls on her hair.

Finial Results! Back

Front

Not the best. But the hair set is mainly used for the girl who has layers and bangs, and that is above the shoulder length. So if you have that hair cut, try the set out. Even if you have long hair See what the hair set does for your hair!
Hope you enjoy!!

Funny, Bazare, Dress Gifts!

Hi My Vintage Lovers.
Last Week I got 3 vintage 1950's dresses! They were all gifts! But they all have a very funny story to them.
Dress Number One : ( Dark Navy Blue)
I have been saving for this dress for a bout a month. I love it beacuse Its a must have winter dress its warm its cozy but it flares out like no other. So I just graduated from highschool last month, and my auant was asking so do you anything? I told her about the dress that i have been saving up for. I thought it was funny becuase she was asking where is the store ect. But I didnt pay to much mind. My mom and me went to the store the next week and I was looking for the dress . And I got so depressed to find it was Gone!! Well the next day for my family dinner to celebrate my graduating. My aunat brought out a bag and guess what I found the Navy Blue dressed! I screamed!!Because I thought I lost the dress to someone else!haha

Dress number two and three ( the blue plaid and orange): Well I have been not eyeing but coveting these two dresses eversince I watched Gidget for 3 years. So one day my mom said lets go to the store. To find out they had a sale bc they were they were closing :( I was upset bc I gotten so many dresses from them. But those dresses were on sale. So i was going to try them on and get at least one, with a slip. The usualy Sir who always was there,  said you I try them on in the bath room. Before I could do anything the "manager' was yelling at us saying we cant try them on. ect. My mom asked are you the manager. She said yes. Then she said to me I have to buy the dresses and slips first before I try them on.It wasnt really the policy that got my upset but was the fact that she was really mean about it. So me and my mom left . And while we were leaving the seller that i got the two dresses and the slip stopped us and said " Consider it as a gift, Im the owner of the both". The man went back inside the store. We were stunned!!! We thanked the man so much. But It was sooo weird! But nice!
Hahaha!
So those are my Funny Bazare Dress Gift Storys!

Funny Girl Series : Ginger Rogers

Hi My Vintage Lovers!
Today I did a Ginger Rogers hair inspired set. Let me warn you its not perfect. But you get the idea! :) Ginger Rogers made so many movies that today we still admire! She will always and forever be the All American Girl. She gracefully looks marvelous being a red, brown, and blonde head!
Here Is the tuturial for Ginger Rogers Hair!
What you will need : Styling gel, banna clips, wide tooth comb, bobbypins, hair glosser

I just wook up from my night set and here how it looks. It looks decent because I always put a scarf covering my set.

This is your pattern for your left side of the head.

Your pattern for the right side of your head. In the back you do a technique called stacking. Which is you layer on the pin curls .

The bobby pins are off

Bursh the curls with the wide toth comb. This always the curls to seprate

Now Brush the curls on top and underneath. Add A bit of gloss when you do this.

With the wide tooth comb encourage the wave by brush in a wave . (My hair is not going to look the same as ginger rogers 1) i have longer hair, 2) Its more thicker)

This is how it looks when you finish. You are going to be suprised how you dont have to do that much to make it wave.

When it relaxes it makes a somewhat deep wave

And when you brush the bottom of the hair it turns in to the hair style pictured here.

Hope you enjoy! Like I said my hair is different from Gingers Hair. But the set does really make a nice wave! Hope You like It!
